Powerlines work clears way for Olympic Village
Work began this week to divert powerlines in the Olympic Park to temporary pylons, unlocking a key area of land and moving the construction of the Olympic Village a step closer.

Tribute paid to Joan Scruton MBE
London 2012 has paid tribute to Joan Scruton MBE for her dedication to the Paralympic movement. Born in 1918 in Yorkshire, she was a qualified administrator posted in 1944 to Stoke Mandeville, an Emergency Medical Centre to receive injured soldiers.
