The arena will be a permanent structure, which will have 6000-7500 seats.

About Handball Arena

Construction began in July 2009 and was completed in May 2011

Sustainability will be the central theme while designing the building. Water use in the arena will be reduced by 40% by the use of rainwater collectors which will be connected to the Olympic Park's combined heating, cooling and power complex.

The Arena will continue to serve as a community multi-sports venue with retractable seats and will have facilities necessary to hold a wide range of indoor sports, as well as local and international competitions and events.
